Lucky was adopted as a puppy and spent his first year growing up in a loving home where he was cherished. Through no fault of his own, he was surrendered when his owner’s health declined. His family loved him, and it shows in everything Lucky does.
Lucky is fully potty trained and kennel trained, and he loves heading out for walks in his harness. He’s friendly, a little shy at first, but quickly warms up into a playful, affectionate boy who just wants to be close to his people. Once he trusts you, expect lots of kisses, cuddles, and a loyal companion by your side.
This smart pup already knows sit, give paw, high five, and roll over, and he loves playing fetch. When playtime is over, Lucky is happiest curled up on a soft blanket, soaking in the comfort of home.
In the home, Lucky also does wonderfully with other dogs — from puppies to adults — and truly enjoys having canine friends to play with. He is becoming very stressed in the shelter, and would like slow introductions so he can have time to breathe after his shelter stay.
Despite being surrendered back in June of last year and being such an incredible dog, Lucky has gotten very little interest. He has his whole life ahead of him and so much love left to give — all he needs is someone to finally see him for the amazing dog he is.
