Slate has grown up in the shelter. For the past 300+ days, Slate has been a very, very good boy, and he just needs someone to see him.
On his doggy day out in April, Slate showed off just how amazing he truly is:

“He is insanely well-behaved. I took him to a restaurant, and he had no issues with me eating in front of him at all. His personality is super passive, he can get pulled on and is super unphased. Very sweet and obedient, anyone would be lucky to have him.”
Slate adores other dogs and thrives with canine companionship.
He has experienced isolation distress when left alone (after living his whole life surrounded by other dogs), so a home with another playful pup would be ideal for him.
If you’re looking for a loyal, loving, adventure-seeking goofball who’s just as happy climbing a hill as he is snoozing at your feet, Slate is your guy.
He deserves to go home.
