FREE MICROCHIPS & VACCINES TO THE FIRST 100 PETS at Tierra Buena Dog Park.
Each year, thousands of lost and unvaccinated pets enter the Animal Services Center every year.
Animal Services will be providing free microchips and Distemper/Parvo (dogs) or FVRCP (cats) vaccines beginningat 9 am, and will end once all 100 microchips are given out.
Pet owners must bring a valid photo ID, and pets are required to be on a leash. Microchips and vaccines will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Animal Services is nearing its goal of having a 90% live-release rate of its pets in the facility, but despite this success, a large number of lost pets continue to enter the Animal Services Center every month. When pet owners keep their pets in their homes and current on vaccinations, they are helping El Paso with its goal of becoming a “no-kill” community.
