Animal Services Hosts Mutt Mixer, Doggy Speed Dating

El Paso Animal Services invites the community to find their furry Valentine this weekend during the department’s “Mutt Mixer: Doggy Speed Dating” adoption promotion.

All pet adoption fees will be FREE on Friday, February 12 and Saturday, February 13 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

To view available pets ahead of time and book your “date” with the shelter pet you’re interested in, visit the El Paso Animal Services website at ElPasoAnimalServices.org/adopt and schedule an adoption appointment.

Matchmakers—also known as Animal Services adoption staff and volunteers—will be helping families with appointments make their “love connections” throughout the weekend. Walk-ups will be assisted on a limited basis, but it is strongly encouraged to schedule your adoption appointment ahead of time as appointments will be assisted first.

All current health and safety protocols will be followed, including required face coverings by visitors and Animal Services staff, proper hand hygiene and physical distancing requirements. All adoptions will include the pets spay/neuter procedure, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations, and City license.
