Big plans are coming up at El Paso Animal Services with our new kennel expansion project starting next month and we are really in need of the community’s support:

1. If you have pets, make sure they are microchipped and your contact information is updated! 1 in 3 pets will go missing in their lifetime and 90% will never return home, but microchipping your pets gives them a better chance of returning home safely. We have multiple free microchipping clinics going on this month for all your pets so be sure to check out our calendar to see where we’ll be!
2. If you’ve lost a pet, file a lost pet report on our website where we have lots of resources to help your pet get back home. We also encourage the community to visit the shelter regularly to see if your lost pet is here!
3. if you’ve found a lost dog, they are likely within a two mile radius from where they went missing so taking the time to knock on a few doors to see if anyone recognizes the dog you’ve found can help get them back home!
4. And of course opening your home to a large dog in need by either adopting or fostering will really help us out. Adoption fees are waived and we are still giving out $100 gift cards for pet supplies on every dog that is adopted. If you’re not sure about adding a permanent family member, you can also foster a dog in need and provide them with a temporary home during the construction period. All dogs are available for foster and we provide all the supplies needed to care for them. Simply stop by Animal Services when you’re ready to take a furry friend home.
