Additional Funding Supports Spay and Neuter Surgeries, Vaccinations, and Microchipping
EL PASO, Texas – The City of El Paso Animal Services is excited to continue offering lifesaving programming to the community through a recently awarded grant of $100,000 from national nonprofit organization, Petco Love.
The generous investment will greatly bolster ongoing efforts to provide compassionate care and support to pets within the shelter and community through spay/neuter, vaccination and microchipping efforts.
The Department invites community members to join them in celebrating this lifesaving investment at a special event:
WHAT: Petco Celebration with Free Adoptions
WHERE: Petco at Bassett Place Mall, 5994 Montana Ave.
WHEN: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, September 2nd
Petco Love is a national nonprofit that has dedicated itself to creating positive change for animals by leveraging the power of love to foster stronger, healthier pet families and communities.
Since its establishment in 1999, Petco Love has channeled $370 million into lifesaving initiatives, working collaboratively with over 4,000 organizations across North America. This collaborative effort has resulted in the successful adoption of over 6.7 million pets and counting.
“We are profoundly grateful for this grant from Petco Love,” said Director of El Paso Animal Services Terry Kebschull. “This remarkable investment will make a tremendous difference in extending our lifesaving impact for El Paso pets and supporting our goal of keeping them happy and healthy.”
The grant funds will be channeled towards pivotal endeavors such as expanding spay and neuter surgeries, administering essential vaccinations, microchipping services, and providing critical medical treatments and surgeries in collaboration with the El Paso Veterinary Medical Association, EPVMA.
