El Paso Animal Services (EPAS) invites the community to their upcoming Pool Pawty Pet Event from 5 to 9 p.m. Saturday, July 20, at 5001 Fred Wilson Ave.

This event offers a fun and refreshing way to spend time with your pets and meet the hundreds of adoptable furry friends looking for homes.

The event will feature a Doggy Splash Zone, a Doggy Bikini Contest, local vendors, food from Backyard Pizza Co., pet massage and reiki sessions, doggy painting crafts, games, music, and more.

The EPAS Resource Rover team will provide free pet microchipping services to ensure pets can be easily identified if lost and Eastlake Animal Clinic will low-cost vaccinations, including the Rabies vaccine ($24) for dogs and cats, Bordetella ($18) and Parvo/Distemper vaccines ($19) for dogs, and the FVRCP vaccine ($19) for cats.

“This event aims to provide a unique opportunity for the community to engage with our adoptable pets and take advantage of essential services,” said Terry Kebschull, El Paso Animal Services Director. “This event is not just about fun, but also about fostering a sense of community and responsibility towards our furry friends.”

Additionally, from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., visitors can enjoy free dog and cat adoptions, made possible by BISSELL Pets’ Empty the Shelters Campaign, providing an opportunity to give a pet in need a forever home. To adopt from El Paso Animal Services, you need a valid photo ID and be 18 years or older. Adopted pets come spayed or neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and with their city registration.
