El Paso Animal Services, in collaboration with the El Paso County Animal Welfare Department and sponsor Petco Love, is kicking off its first free drive-thru pet wellness clinic of the year from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Sunday, March 30, at 6500 Bonanza St.
The event coincides with National Pet Vaccination Month, which raises awareness about the vital role vaccines play in protecting pets from deadly yet preventable diseases such as parvovirus, distemper, and panleukopenia. Core vaccinations not only safeguard individual pets but also help prevent the spread of illness within the community.
This free wellness event will provide essential vaccines and microchips to the first 500 pets on a first-come, first-served basis. Dogs will receive the parvo/distemper (DAPP) vaccine, while cats will receive the feline viral rhinotracheitis, calicivirus, and panleukopenia (FVRCP) vaccine. All pets will also be microchipped.
To ensure a smooth and safe process, attendees must keep their pets inside their vehicles at all times, with dogs securely leashed and cats placed in carriers. Pets must be at least six weeks old to receive vaccines, and no other vaccinations will be available at this event.
El Paso Animal Services encourages all pet owners to take advantage of this opportunity to safeguard their pets’ health and well-being.
