A Galactic Day of Free Adoptions, Microchips, Vaccines & More
WHAT: Bark Wars Pet Event

EL PASO, Texas—El Paso Animal Services will host its 2nd annual Bark Wars: Revenge of the Sit event from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, May 3, 2025, at the El Paso Animal Services Center, 5001 Fred Wilson Ave.
This free event is open to the public and offers a variety of services and activities for the entire family, including pet owners and prospective adopters.
The event will feature free pet adoptions, free microchips, and pet ID tags to help keep pets safe and reunited with their families. Vista Hills Animal Hospital will also be onsite providing low-cost vaccinations for dogs and cats, including Rabies, Parvo, Bordetella, and FVRCP vaccines.
In addition to pet services, the event will offer several engaging activities for attendees of all ages, including puppy yoga at 11 a.m., a pet costume contest at 2 p.m., laser tag, video games, and more. Guests can also enjoy a variety of food options from food trucks, shop from local vendors, and take part in family-friendly games and photo opportunities.
The event is supported by the BISSELL Pet Foundation’s Empty the Shelters campaign, which runs from May 1 to May 15 and covers adoption fees to help more pets find loving homes.
“This event brings the community together to support animal welfare while offering fun, engaging ways to connect with adoptable pets,” said Terry Kebschull, Director of El Paso Animal Services. “We’re thankful to our partners and participants who continue to help make this event a success.”
