National ‘Clear the Shelters’ Campaign Returns to El Paso Animal Services
Featuring Free Adoptions to Boost Lifesaving Efforts

EL PASO, Texas – El Paso Animal Services is once again joining the nationwide Clear the Shelters campaign this August, promoting pet adoptions and raising awareness for the thousands of pets waiting for loving homes.

Since its launch in 2015, Clear the Shelters—led by NBCUniversal Local and Telemundo stations—has helped more than one million pets find homes and raised millions of dollars for shelters and rescues across the country.

Throughout the month, El Paso Animal Services will offer free adoptions at all of its adoption centers and host offsite community events across the city, making it easier than ever to find a new furry family member.

Free adoptions are available daily at the following locations:

  • El Paso Animal Services 5001 Fred Wilson Ave. Open daily, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Westside Adoption Center 5625 Confetti Dr. Open daily, 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Mission Valley Adoption Center 9068 Socorro Rd. Open daily, 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.
  • CATZ (Cats at the Zoo) 4001 Paisano Dr. Friday–Sunday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

In addition to adoption opportunities, many offsite events will offer free pet microchips and low-cost vaccines for the public. A full list of events can be found at ElPasoAnimalServices.org/calendar
