Mitch has spent almost his entire life behind shelter walls. He came in as a tiny 3-month-old puppy, full of hope, wagging his tail at every passerby, waiting for the family that never came. Now, after countless days and nights in a kennel, he’s still waiting. He has spent some time in foster homes learning how to be a good boy, but for each family, it wasn’t the right time to adopt a dog, and Mitch came back to the shelter.
Despite it all, Mitch remains the same sweet, loving dog he’s always been. He’s potty trained, non-destructive when left alone, and keeps himself entertained with toys. He loves to play with other dogs, adores older kids, and knows how to sit, come, and wait for treats. He loves car rides, loves to snuggle, and loves to give hugs. But what he wants most is a home—a real one, with a soft bed to call his own and someone to love him the way he has always loved people.
Every day, Mitch looks for a bed to curl up in. Every day, he hopes it will be in a home, not a kennel. Please don’t let him spend another year waiting. Mitch deserves a chance. Could you be the one to finally give him the love he’s been searching for? Come meet him at 5001 Fred Wilson, open 11am-6pm every day.
