Bella quietly became one of our longest-stay shelter dogs, and her story is one that tugs at the heartstrings. At only 550 days old, she has spent over 350 days living in a shelter kennel — that’s more than half her life.
Bella first arrived at the shelter as a puppy and was quickly adopted. Unfortunately, she was returned for growing too large and not being the “right breed” in the eyes of her adopters. Since then, she has been overlooked day after day, flying under the radar simply because she is such a good girl. She’s even-keel – not overly clingy or overbearingly affectionate. She just likes to hang out with her people.
Despite her long wait, Bella remains a sweet and loving soul who adores people and other dogs. She walks beautifully on a leash, seems to be potty trained, and is eager to find her forever home where she will be loved for who she truly is.
Bella’s heart is full of love and loyalty, just waiting for the right person to see her. If you’re looking for a kind, gentle companion who will cherish you endlessly, Bella is your girl. Come meet her at 5625 Confetti Drive, El Paso, Texas, open 12pm-6pm every day.
