The community is invited to ‘swing’ into action for a paw-some cause at the inaugural “FORE! Pets Topgolf Tournament FRIENDraiser” hosted by Friends of El Paso Animal Services (Friends of EPAS), which will be raising funds for lifesaving programs and services offered by El Paso Animal Services. This exciting event is set to take place at Topgolf El Paso, located at 365 Vin Rambla Drive, El Paso, TX 79912, on Sunday, October 8, 2023, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Don’t play golf? No problem! Players of all ages and skill levels are welcome and encouraged to register; this is an opportunity to gather friends, family, and co-workers for an entertaining afternoon, all in the name of a great cause–helping homeless pets. Participants will enjoy climate-controlled hitting bays, a delectable meal, swag bags, and the chance to win raffle items and prizes.
“We know El Paso loves pets–this is the time to bring our pet-loving community together to support the pets we love,” said Veronica Frescas, Development Coordinator. “Friends of El Paso Animal Services bridges the gap between the City shelter and the animals in its care by fundraising, and with the help of our generous supporters, we aim to raise $15,000 to make the borderland a better place for animals by funding programs to help homeless pets.”
All funds raised at the “FORE! Pets Topgolf Tournament” will go toward supporting lifesaving programs and services offered by El Paso Animal Services, such as providing free and low-cost pet wellness services to the community, and enhancing programs to keep pets in the shelter and in foster care happy and healthy. El Paso Animal Services cared for nearly 20,000 animals that entered the shelter in 2022, and supported another nearly 20,000 community pets through programs like their pet wellness, pet pantry, and pet support services.
