HeatSafe: Protecting Pets & People

Every summer, hundreds of heat-related emergencies occur, including children or pets in locked hot cars and pets left outside without proper shade or water. Learn how to keep your loved ones safe! 🚒 Here’s what’s happening:
🌞 Live “hot car” demonstration by the departments
🌞 Educational booths and information on local resources
🌞 Free pet microchips and ID tags
🌞 Discounted pet vaccines provided by Eastlake Animal Clinic
🌞 Giveaways for the first 50 attendees
This HeatSafe event is in partnership with El Paso Animal Services, El Paso Police Department, and El Paso Fire Department, raising awareness of the dangers extreme heat poses to people and pets in our community, in recognition of National Heat Awareness Day.
