Press Release-Animal Services Hosts Free Microchip and Vaccine Clinic in Far East El Paso

Chips and vaccines available to the first 100 pets

EL PASO, Texas – El Paso Animal Services will be offering free microchips and vaccines (Distemper/Parvo for dogs or FVRCP for cats)to the first 100 pets that visit Tierra Buena Park in far-east El Paso from 9 a.m. to noon this Sunday, Jan. 13.

Animal Services is nearing its goal of having a 90% live-release rate of its pets in the facility, but despite this success, thousands of lost and unvaccinated pets continue to enter the Animal Services Center every month.

When pet owners keep their pets in their homes and stay up-to-date on their vaccinations, they are helping El Paso with its goal of becoming a “no-kill” community.

To participate in Sunday’s event, pet owners must bring a valid photo ID and have their pet(s) on a leash or in a crate. Microchips and vaccines will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Additional events will be held throughout the spring. To find out when the next event will be, “like” Animal Services on Facebook by visiting @elpasoanimalservices.
