Press Release: Animal Services’ Drive-Thru Clinic to  Offer Free Vaccinations and Microchips

First-of-its-Kind Event to Serve More Than 300 Pets

EL PASO, Texas – This Sunday, February 9, El Paso Animal Services will be offering free vaccinations and microchips to hundreds of pets at the department’s Cruzin’ Cohen Drive-Thru Vaccination/Microchip Clinic.
 
This large-scale clinic will be a first-of-its-kind of event for El Paso, as Animal Services gears up to once again make it easy for owners to keep their pets healthy and safe. This unique clinic will be held at the old Cohen Stadium parking lot at the intersection of Cohen Avenue and Gateway North Boulevard. Pet owners will enter the parking lot off the Gateway North prior to Cohen Avenue.
 
This is a first-come, first-served event and services are limited to the first 300 pets. Owners will need to keep their pets in the vehicle, all dogs must be on a leash and cats must be placed in a secure carrier while visiting the clinic. Dogs will receive a parvo/distemper vaccination, while cats will receive a feline viral rhinotracheitis, calicivirus, and panleukopenia (FVRCP) vaccination, both will also be given a microchip. No other vaccinations will be available at this drive-thru event.

Animal Services hosts El Paso’s first-ever, large-scale, drive-thru vaccination/microchip clinic, providing free parvo/distemper and FVRCP vaccines, and free microchips to the first 300 pets.
Services available on a first-come, first-served basis.
 
WHEN:        Sunday, February 9, 2020 – 8 a.m. to noon
           
WHERE:      Cohen Parking Lot (corner of Cohen Ave and Gateway N)
                   Cars must enter off Gateway Blvd. prior to Cohen Ave.
