WHEN:           Now through Wednesday, August 31, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The City of El Paso Animal Services is once again participating in the largest national adoption campaign ‘Clear the Shelters’ for the seventh year in a row.

As part of the campaign, Animal Services will be waiving adoption fees now through Wednesday, August 31 on all its shelter pets, and all adoptions will include the pet’s spay/neuter procedure, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations and city license.

During previous ‘Clear the Shelters’ events, El Paso Animal Services found homes for hundreds of shelter pets. This event comes at a vital time, as the shelter’s kennels remain filled with over 1,000 pets looking for forever homes.

The Animal Services Center is open seven days a week from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

For anyone not looking to commit long-term to a pet, fostering is also an option. Fostering a pet is free, and the shelter provides all the food, supplies and medical care the pet needs

For those who cannot foster or adopt a pet at this time, donating pet food and supplies is also another way to help El Paso’s pets.
