El Paso Animal Services joined KTSM 9 News for Mutt Monday to invite the community to “Go Orange” during Prevention of Animal Cruelty Month this April:

  • Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Month is recognized nationwide every April to raise awareness about the important issues facing animals and that animal abuse and neglect is a crime.
  • Throughout the month, in partnership with the El Paso Police Department Animal Cruelty Investigations Unit, will be focused on educating the community about how to identify and report types of animal cruelty and neglect, and some of the ways they can get involved in lifesaving through information events, PSAs, social media posts, neighborhood canvassing and community presentations.
  • Join us this Friday, March 31st at 12pm for our kick-off event at the El Paso Animal Services Center located at 5001 Fred Wilson Ave. We will have keynote speakers, demonstrations on the Safe Outdoor Dogs Act, and will be open for any questions from the community.
