Fee-Waived Adoptions, Microchips, Local Vendors, Live Music and More

WHAT: Cinco de Mayo Adoption Fiesta, featuring fee-waived adoptions, free microchips, local vendors, live music, and performances

WHEN: 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, May 6, 2023 

WHERE: El Paso Animal Services Center, 5001 Fred Wilson Ave.

The City of El Paso Animal Services’ Cinco de Mayo Adoption Fiesta is back and bigger than ever!

With over 500 pets looking for their “furever” homes, Animal Services would like to invite the community to celebrate Cinco de Mayo with their furry “com-PAW-dres” on Saturday, May 6, 2023.

All adoptions will include the pet’s spay/neuter procedure, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations, and City license. The public can also bring their pets to get free pet microchips from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

In addition to featuring hundreds of lovable pets, the fiesta will also include folklorico dancers, local vendors, food trucks, a doggy fashion show featuring adoptable shelter pets, and live performances from local bands David Orozco Y Los Precavidos and El Cobra Norteño.

El Paso Animal Services also urges the community to support the shelter by getting involved by adopting, fostering, volunteering and donating; as well as ensuring that all owned pets are up to date on their vaccinations, have a microchip and are spayed or neutered.
